In Maths we're developing our understanding of the Place Value system. The children have been working though tasks that require them to view numbers in different ways. The Elephant jigsaw puzzle was a group activity where students worked together to sort and connect visual representations of the same number but in different forms.

Numbers were displayed in their Expanded form, as a numeral, as groups of Tens and Ones and as a picture.

First came the sorting.

Next came the connecting.
