A visitor to our garden.

When an egg hatches there is a caterpillar in it. When it gets out of the egg, it finds food and eats it. After it eats it has a sleep and when it is sleeping it turns into a chrysalis. Next after a while it changes into a butterfly.

A butterfly flutters to a swan plant and lays a tiny egg underneath a leaf for protection. A caterpillar hatches out of the egg and searches for food. As it keeps eating it gets fatter and fatter until it finds a branch to stick to. When it turns into a chrysalis, it wiggles and changes its colour. When the chrysalis has hatched two long antennae pop out. It’s a butterfly!
