Some of our fabulous Room 11 Writing ...

Room 11 have been doing Geometry for Maths. One of our tasks involved designing a picture out of 2D shapes, tracing around them and colouring them in to make some beautiful Geometric Art. 

I think that the children have done an amazing job of their Artwork! 

You are more than welcome to come in and see these on the back wall of our classroom.

I will put the photos on the Blog of the process and their final Geometric Art piece when I find a way to recover the photos!!! (Oops!)

So .... Writing? ....

Well, after the children completed these pieces, I challenged them to come up with a 'story' about what was happening in their art work. 

I am very proud to share a few of these stories with you in this Blog.

Peaceful Picture

I made a diamond flower in the sky

I made a diamond flower because it's a simple and peaceful thing to do 

It's a flying diamond flower 

I think the flying diamond flower feels fluffy and tastes like candy floss 

I even drew clouds and a sun

The Rocket

In the picture, the submarine was looking for a great white shark. The person in the submarine is looking at the person that is in the sky. The plane was about to fall into the water. The sun was hitting the plane with fire balls and the plane fell into the water and crashed into the submarine.

Yesterday we made a picture. It was made out of shapes. I called my picture 'Flight'.

There was once a girl that wanted to fly to the moon 

But she didn't have enough money to buy a rocket

Then, she had an idea ... It was to build a rocket!!

The rocket was colourful

Her Mum said "WOW" !!!

There is a rocket in my picture. I wanted to draw my stars in circles and I wanted to use my four squares for the inside of my rocket. A hexagon was used for my moon.

The Sun Vs the Moon
